vintage Stock Car Racing...

   as kid growing up in the 70s, I spent most every weekend at the local short-track watching my dad race...good times for sure!...the Three Wides Picture Vault LINK is a treasure-trove of photos and folk-lore from the glory days of East Coast Short Track Racing...New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania Stock Car Racing (and some Open Wheel) from the 1950s - 60s -70s and 80s is well documented here...there's even a Forum for guys who like to talk racing...myself, I dig the pictures and the stories from the 1950s...I'm not sure if these guys were courageous or just crazy!

reserve not met...

this fantastic vintage Racing Jacket from Indiana's Armscamp Speedway was on my Ebay "Watch List" this past week...a very cool jacket for sure, and should bring a pretty penny at "hammer-time"...the final bid was just over $1200, which was much higher than I was expecting...even more suprising, was to see "Reserve Not Met"...

trash or treasure?

most people would have thrown this bad-boy away...I'm happy to have rescued it...when it comes to Original Patina, this has to be the King of the Hill...without a doubt, the most Amazing Fade I have ever seen!...super-Thin too, almost like a nylon stocking!...for all the collectors who like their Vintage T-Shirts well done and well seasoned, I'm happy to put this old Harley Tee back into circulation...Happy Hunting!     what the heck?!...went on a bike pick today with my son, El Duderino ...among the two wheeled treasures I found these very interesting andvery unusual work shoes...Hand stitched leather uppers with these crazy Wooden Soles complete with hammered-in brass cleats...not like anything I've ever seen before...

nabbed a  small stash of these NOS old-School Henley Style Sweatshirts...these 1960s Rayon Blend classics have ALL the goodies, scoop neck, cats-eye buttons, carved shirt-tail, and 3/4 sleeves...looks like something "the old ball coach" would wear...Happy Hunting! Kevin
