vintage Candy Containers...
Happy Halloween!...these Hard Plastic mid-century Halloween Candy Containers popped-up on my radar a couple of years ago...their popularity is on the rise as is their value...most of these 1950s novelty containers are bringing about $50 to $200 and on rare occasions (rare colors) can hit the $500 mark!...for instance, the Witch on the Motorcycle (orange/black) is typically a $150-$200 item, but the same Witch on the Motorcycle in White will easily hit the $400-$500 mark!...also look for these same plastic containers with Christmas and Easter Themes, most are marked either Rosen or Rosbro...every one of them is a true Thrift Score!...Happy Hunting...Kevin

Autumn...
AUTUMN by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Thou comest, Autumn, heralded by the rain,
With banners, by great gales incessant fanned,
Brighter than brightest silks of Samarcand,
And stately oxen harnessed to thy wain!
Thou standest, like imperial Charlemagne,
Upon thy bridge of gold; thy royal hand
Outstretched with benedictions o'er the land,
Blessing the farms through all thy vast domain!
Thy shield is the red harvest moon, suspended
So long beneath the heaven's o'er-hanging eaves;
Thy steps are by the farmer's prayers attended;
Like flames upon an altar shine the sheaves;
And, following thee, in thy ovation splendid,
Thine almoner, the wind, scatters the golden leaves!
With banners, by great gales incessant fanned,
Brighter than brightest silks of Samarcand,
And stately oxen harnessed to thy wain!
Thou standest, like imperial Charlemagne,
Upon thy bridge of gold; thy royal hand
Outstretched with benedictions o'er the land,
Blessing the farms through all thy vast domain!
Thy shield is the red harvest moon, suspended
So long beneath the heaven's o'er-hanging eaves;
Thy steps are by the farmer's prayers attended;
Like flames upon an altar shine the sheaves;
And, following thee, in thy ovation splendid,
Thine almoner, the wind, scatters the golden leaves!
