this Vintage Workshirt was offered for Absolute Auction last week on Ebay...this rare beauty is from the late 1800's and is made of Stifel Fabric... the buyers went nuts making this old rag a real "Thrift Score" for the lucky seller...can I get an Amen?!

vintage workwear labels...

I copied this library of Vintage Workwear Labels to my files a couple years ago...I'm not sure exactly where they came from  (google?) and I would be happy to credit whomever put together such a fabulous collection...not only is it visually interesting but it is a valuable resource for dating workwear by the label...

vintage Ralph Lauren Polo...RL-67 RL-92

so how "OLD" is vintage?...If you havent' noticed, mid 1990's Ralph Lauren is on the rise...especially the RL67 and RL 92 celebrating the 25th Aniversary of the Ralph Lauren Polo Empire...look for Polo recreations of classic jackets including Varsity Letter Jackets (the "P Wing), Boating Windbreakers, Golf Sweaters and traditional Ski Jackets...recently the above pictured Sailing Jacket fetched over $700 bucks on Ebay...look for over-the-top graphics, lots of Color, RL 67, RL 92 and sometimes super-Cheesy Artwork...any items w/ the "P-Wing" , the word "Stadium" or Bears playing Golf should be on your radar... and even if your deal is much older and more traditional Vintage Clothing, pay attention, these valuable pieces can turn up anywhere and a nice "P-Wing" jacket can mean a weeks pay!...now that's a REAL THRIFT SCORE!!!

this is one of those items, that for me, seems to be a tad on the cheesy side, however this particular Ski Jacket usually sells for $1000-$1500...gotta LOVE cheesy!

already a Vintage Classic...the "P-Wing" Varsity Jacket is a favorite among Polo RL Collectors...these are not that un-common and usually "hammer-down" in the $750-$1000 range...also look for P-Wing Windbreakers , Sweatshirts and T-Shirts, ALL Real Thrift Scores in their own right...
